What

The main objective of the incubation voucher measure is to support the projects of innovative Québec start-up companies that have business or marketing needs.

Value

• COVID 19 or Life Sciences project Max 60,00
• Max $ 40,000
• Max 75% of eligible expenses for 12 months

Eligibility

• Fewer than 250 employees
• Incorporated in the last three years
• Pre-financing phase
• Must have the right to use the IP related to the product or process developped
• Cannot have sales, except for pilot programs
• Must be affiliated with one of the following:
  • SVU
  • Incubators or accelerators supported by the Ministry

Eligible Expenses

• Professional services
  • Conceiving a technology development roadmap (NOT R&D)
  • Council regarding the regulatory landscape (In a Consultancy not Execution role)
  • Developing a sales strategy or marketing plan (In a Consultancy not Execution role)
  • to optimize the internal activities of the company (ex .: financial management, production, sales). (In a Consultancy not Execution role)

Application

• Fill application form (PDF)
• Letter from D3 and template
• Financial statements (if applicable)
• If accepted, 70% up front and 30% at the end of the project, upon submission of the required documentation.

What they're looking for

• a clear description of the incubation needs of the company;
• the relevance of the service offer for the development of the company;
• the clear description of the service offer;
• the presence of research and development in the development of the product or process;
• the adequacy of the service offer project to the development needs of the start-up company.
• A clear description on the market size (TAM, SAM, SOM) and competition
• Template adequately deeply describes the innovation behind the technology being used, include 8 - 10 pages of information to ease the review for Application Committee

For the 2020-2021 period, the deadlines for submitting funding requests are as follows:

• Monday, November 2, 2020;
• Monday January 4, 2021;
• Monday 1st March 2021;
• Monday May 3, 2021;
• Friday July 2, 2021;
• Wednesday 1st September 2021;
• Monday 1st November 2021.
